1. Your TITLE should be well written, short to the point but VERY descriptive. Remember search engines like Google will pick up these titles just like website titles.

2. Choose a category for your listing very carefully. If you feel your listing needs to be in other categories then do it however, remember that ebay listing fee.

3. You have heard the phrase, "a picture is worth a thousand words". Remember to use professional images in your auction. Make sure the image is clear, to the point, and big enough.

4. Remember to list all the details in the detail box. Be sure to include specs, shipping, policies, and get to the point. Nobody wants to spend 10 minutes to read your selling point.

5. Determine the lowest amount you would pay for the product you are selling. Be sure to market research to see other competitor pricing. Don't necessarily settle for being the cheapest since consumers might feel skeptical of your listing.

Be ready to provide them the information they request. Customer service is important for returning customers. You're listing should provide the details to avoid these questions.

8. After the auction has ended, make sure you correspond with your buyer. eBay will send you notice to your email account of how much the item sold for and the email address of the high bidder. Keep the lines of communication open until everything about the transaction is complete.

9. After receiving payment for your item, ship it promptly by the stated method. Send an email to the buyer to let them know their item is on its way. You can leave feedback at this point or wait until the item is received and the buyer posts feedback for you.

10. If you plan to do a lot of selling on eBay, you may want to consider signing up for a PayPal account. Many eBay buyers only purchase items from those sellers that do accept PayPal as a payment method. It is free to sign up and all you will need is a checking account.
